MASTER Workshop: AI for PMs: Automate. Augment. Assist.

This advanced workshop explores the next frontier in AI-enhanced project management: agentic systems, where multiple AI agents work together like a coordinated project team. We’ll begin with a brief but focused explanation of the differences between a bot, an agent, and a full agentic system.
The core of the workshop is highly interactive. Participants will form teams and select a specific PMBOK 8th Edition process. Using a card-based design toolkit, each team will architect a system of collaborating AI agents tailored to that process.
As teams share their outcomes, participants gain a broad, multi-angle view of how AI agentic teams can be structured to support, enhance, and transform the role of the human project manager.

Attendees should learn the following by attending the session:

• Gain a foundational understanding of (Generative) AI
  Participants will learn the core concepts, terminology, and capabilities of AI and GenAI, explained in simple, accessible terms for project management professionals.
• Explore practical applications of AI across PMBOK® 8th Edition processes
  Using the PMBOK 8 framework, participants will identify opportunities where AI can enhance project delivery by automating routine tasks, augmenting decision-making, and assisting in complex project scenarios.
• Strengthen familiarity with the PMBOK 8 process-based approach
  The workshop reinforces knowledge of PMBOK 8 while positioning it as a modern, adaptable guide in the age of digital transformation.
• Develop a forward-looking mindset for AI-enabled project leadership
  Participants will leave with actionable insight on how to begin integrating AI tools into their own roles, ranging from efficiency improvements to strategic support.

Biography
Bart Briers is a seasoned executive, keynote speaker, trainer, and author with 27 years of experience in project management across diverse industries. He wrote a management novel on hybrid project management and created a serious business game to develop project skills. Known for leading complex transformations and launching ventures, Bart combines strategic insight with hands-on expertise. Appointed as an honorary professor in project management, he trains the next generation of project managers for the management school in Brussels. His talks are known for blending real-world experience, engaging storytelling, and actionable tools that inspire professionals to lead with impact.
